Since 1853, Norwegians have relied on Devold woollen garments to protect themselves from the weather. Rooted in the fjords and mountains of Sunnmøre, Devold became an early supplier of high-quality woollen garments to fishermen, workers, and polar explorers who lived and worked in harsh conditions along the Norwegian coast. By the 1800s, iconic Devold garments were a significant Norwegian export, and that same commitment to quality holds just as strongly today.
Today, Devold is a leading wool brand with a clear focus on responsible production practices, natural materials, and ethical sourcing. Wool is sourced from a small number of carefully selected farms in New Zealand, South America, and Norway, and every garment is knitted at Devold's own factory in Europe.
