Unfold a map of the world and you will see two long islands over towards the right edge - nearly falling off the map. This is New Zealand. This isolation is probably part of the reason that these islands were the very last to be populated by human beings. And because New Zealand lay alone and untouched for 80 million years, this “time capsule” could develop its own unique, almost unearthly, flora and fauna.

Today, the country's ecosystem is considered to be one of the most biodynamic in the world. The fresh and healthy natural environment includes fields and meadows that are so perfect that New Zealand is now home to the very largest, softest and finest merino sheep in the whole world – and this is where the very finest wool comes from. Thirteen farms, which we regularly visit in person, produce the very finest wool you could imagine.
