How long do I have to return items?
When shopping in Devold’s online store, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal, during which you can notify us that you wish to cancel your purchase. The withdrawal period starts the day after you physically receive the item. If the deadline falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or public holiday, it is extended to the next working day.
During Christmas, we extend the right of withdrawal until January 15 for all orders placed from November 15 onwards.
For hygiene reasons, boxers and hipsters cannot be returned. All products must be returned in their original packaging and with all labels intact.
To exchange for another item, you need to return the item you have already received and place a new order. The return shipping cost for the item you send back will be deducted from the amount refunded for the returned item.
When using the DHL return label provided when you register a return, a return shipping cost will be deducted from the amount we refund you for the returned items.
If we have mistakenly sent you the wrong item, we will of course cover the return shipping cost. Please contact customer service so we can arrange an exchange for the correct item and handle the return.
Return shipping costs are:
- Norway: 99 NOK
- Sweden: 99 SEK
- Denmark: 75 DKK

Returned items are registered at our warehouse within 14 days after they have been returned. Once we receive the items, we will inspect them and refund the correct amount to the same payment method used for the purchase. The return shipping cost, when using our return label, will be deducted from your refund.
When you complete a purchase, you will receive an order confirmation by email. If you are logged in to My Pages when completing your purchase, you can also find your past orders there. If you need a separate receipt, you can send an email to webshop@devold.no and we will send you a copy.

Questions about products and care
We recommend using our size guide, which you can find on each product page. It includes body measurements in centimetres and gives you an indication of which size will fit you best. The most important measurement to use as a reference is your chest measurement.
On the product page you will also find information about sizing and fit, where it is stated whether the garment is slim, regular or loose fit.
The most important thing you can do to keep your wool garments in good condition is to wash them less frequently.
Wool has many unique properties. Among them is that wool garments can easily be refreshed by hanging them in fresh air. Wool is naturally antibacterial and dirt-repellent, and also has a natural resistance to odour. This means you do not need to wash wool garments as often as other clothing. This is not only good for the environment by saving energy and detergent, but fewer wash cycles also help the garment last longer.
When you do need to wash your wool garment, it is important to follow the washing instructions. Please note that some of our garments are not machine washable and must be hand washed. This information can be found on the care label.
Stains can be removed with water, either with a wet cloth or by rinsing the affected area under running water. If the stain does not come out, you can carefully use lemon soap on the stain.
Wool does not need high temperatures to become clean. Garments that can be machine washed should be washed on a wool programme using a detergent designed for wool, such as Milo. Regular detergents contain enzymes and bleach that can damage wool fibres.
Close all zippers before washing to avoid the teeth damaging delicate wool. Also avoid overfilling the washing machine. Make sure the garment is not left sitting in water.
Make sure the water temperature does not exceed 30°C. Do not twist or stretch the garment—gently press out the water instead. Rinse thoroughly several times in clean water to remove all soap residue. Do not leave the garment soaking.
Always follow the care label carefully, where you will also find information on how the garment should be dried.
Garments made of superfine merino wool that are machine washable may also be tumble dried. However, we recommend line drying to reduce wear.
Devold Originals sweaters should only be hand washed. To maintain shape, it is important to dry them flat. Avoid hanging the garment, as it may lose its shape. Gently reshape while damp.
Always follow the care label instructions carefully. Our superfine merino wool garments are treated with a biodegradable TEC treatment that allows machine washing on a wool programme and tumble drying.
However, washing or tumble drying may cause the garment to shrink in length, width or thickness, even if it will not felt. Stretching the garment after washing and line drying can prevent this. If the garment has shrunk too much, ironing it can help restore it close to its original shape.
Pilling occurs due to the way yarn is made. A yarn consists of a number of wool fibres twisted together into a thread. During washing and use, individual fibres may loosen and form small balls (pills). This typically happens due to friction.
Repeated friction in one area, such as from a seatbelt or shoulder bag, can cause pilling. Overloading the washing machine can also increase pilling. Airing the garment instead of washing it reduces the risk.
If pilling does occur, it does not reduce the quality of the garment. Pills can be gently removed with a fabric comb or lint remover.
Questions about wool
Micron defines the diameter of the wool fibre. The lower the micron number, the finer and softer the wool. Wool with a higher micron is coarser and is used, for example, in our thickest sweaters.
Total Easy Care is an OEKO-TEX® certified treatment used on garments made of superfine merino wool. TEC is a more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional superwash. It is more advanced and does not use oil-based polymers, but instead plant-based (biodegradable) polymers, making the treatment degradable. The wool’s natural properties are preserved during the process.
Garments treated with TEC can be machine washed and tumble dried. However, it is important to follow the care instructions on the garment and use the correct detergent.
Aquaduct is a construction that helps transport moisture away from the body to the outer surface of the garment.
We own our own OEKO-TEX® certified factory in Panevėžys, Lithuania, where production takes place.
Most of our garments are made of 100% wool or merino wool, but some include additional materials to achieve the right breathability and durability. Material information is specified on each product.
The selected farms Devold cooperates with must follow strict quality and animal welfare requirements. All farms comply with the “Five Freedoms for animal welfare,” and none of the sheep are subjected to mulesing.
We work every day to create high-quality products made from natural materials while ensuring a sustainable value chain that respects both animals and the environment. Our superfine merino wool garments are treated with Total Easy Care, an OEKO-TEX® certified treatment based on biodegradable polymers.
Durability is an important environmental factor, as longer-lasting products reduce consumption. Therefore, we use treatments that are as environmentally responsible as possible.
Discount codes and gift cards
You enter the discount code at checkout, before completing your purchase. Once you have added the discount code, you will see in the order summary how much has been deducted. It is important that you check that the discount has been applied before completing your purchase. Unfortunately, it is not possible to apply a discount code afterwards.
You have most likely applied a discount code that reduces the total amount below the free shipping threshold. To qualify for free shipping, the total amount payable after discounts must still be above the free shipping threshold.
Discount codes cannot be combined.
- The discount code has expired.
- The code has been entered incorrectly (make sure there are no spaces before or after the code).
- The code has already been used.
- Another discount code has already been applied to the order.
- Some products in the order are not eligible for discounts.
Discount codes may be linked to specific products, categories, or campaigns. Terms and conditions are provided with the discount code.
It is not possible to purchase gift cards in our webshop.
